The kind of program you go for depends on your interest, needs, and the amount of time you can devote to study. A bachelor's degree is awarded at the completion of a four-year program. An associate's degree is awarded at the completion of a two-year program. A program resulting in receipt of a diploma is structured to provide students with a specific skill set. A certificate is awarded at the completion of a series of courses that prepare students for employment in a selected vocation. A certificate can also be earned while preparing for an associate’s degree.

The Business programs are designed to prepare graduates with the skills necessary for a career in the competitive and increasingly complex world of business through instruction in business practices and principles, technical business procedures, and appropriate microcomputer applications. Armed with practical skills and theoretical knowledge, graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in a variety of administrative and/or management positions.
The Early Childhood Education programs are designed to prepare graduates for a variety of entry-level positions in nursery schools, early intervention settings, school-age programs and group-care homes. Students will develop an understanding of the social and psychological factors that influence a child and will acquire the essential knowledge, skills, ethics, and dispositions required in an early childhood education professional.
The General Studies program is designed to provide students a broad range of knowledge through an introduction to a variety of career paths. It offers a greater level of flexibility for students who may be unsure of their career choice, want a more generalized education, or who want to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program.
The Healthcare & Wellness programs at Brown Mackie College are designed to provide students with the skills necessary to work in some of the fastest-growing fields in the medical, healthcare, fitness, and wellness industries. The Healthcare programs include biomedical equipment technology, healthcare administration, medical assisting, medical transcription, and physical therapist assisting. The Wellness programs are designed for considering a career in therapeutic massage, rehabilitative services, nutrition, or fitness.
The Legal and Criminal Justice programs provide an excellent foundation for those who seek employment in legal/paralegal professions, law enforcement, corrections, and related areas of our country's expanding criminal justice system. The programs offer courses on the standards and principles of the legal field; how to apply appropriate substantive and procedural law; investigating facts; and legal writing and research.
The Nursing programs offers study in the areas of science, medications, patient care, and medical recordkeeping. The knowledge gained from coursework forms the basis for utilizing the nursing process in a professional practice. Concurrent integration of theory into clinical practice is an important aspect of professional nursing education. Graduates of these programs will have the opportunity to pursue employment in a variety of settings including, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health.
The Technology Based programs can prepare you for careers in graphic design, computer-aided design drafting, biomedical equipment technology, computer networking, and computer programming. Computer degree programs provide students with the practical skills necessary to operate, create, maintain, and repair the computers and technology that are a vital part of our lives. Creative programs focus on the development of design and production techniques, conceptual thinking, and artistic element arrangement to communicate a message.
The Veterinary Technology program offers you the opportunity to develop practical skills in laboratory procedures, surgical assistance, and office administration. Coursework focuses on veterinary ethics and law, animal safety, animal behavior, physical examination, recordkeeping, grooming, drug administration, and more. Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to pursue employment in a variety of settings including, veterinary hospitals, animal clinics, humane societies, boarding kennels, and zoos.
